SUMMARY
School and life
In my experience the problem of what to do in life was not made any easier by those who were entrusted with my education. As presumably the main object of going to school is to prepare for after life, Of course many boys were destined from birth to follow their fathers’ careers, I recognize the importance of being made to learn things that one does not like, but surely it was not good to give the young mind the impression that all education was a form of mental gymnastics.
My experience in this connection may have been unfortunate, but it was by no means unique; many of my friends who went to different schools confess to a similar experience, and complain that when they had completed their school education they had not the remotest idea of what they wanted to do. When I was asked what subject I propose to take when I came up to the university, I replied, somewhat diffidently, that I wanted to take Geology - diffidently, because I still regarded such things as having no reality in the hard world of work. In fact I am sure I was not, and that my adviser was quite sincere and only trying to be helpful, but I certainly did not feel like arguing the matter. I listened meekly to suggestions that I should take Classics or Law.

Violence
You have to ask yourself, Isn't important to you that your children are killed, that your sons go into the army where they are bullied and butchered? Don't you care?. If you whant to stop violence you have to be more tolerant, don't get anger easily, you also need to treat everyone equaly, no matter whos is a German, American, Negro, all of them are persons that have rights and benefits.
You have to investigate the fact of your own anger, you need to be more calm and dont get frustrated of anger easily.
Violence can stop if everybody helps, how we can help?, by changing our actitud and behavior, thinking diferent, violence is not an aswer.

Man has added extraneous substances to his food since prehistoric times. Salt and spices are the oldest food additives we know of, used by prehistoric man to preserve his meat and fish, and to make the taste more interesting. Today, the substances, natural and synthetic, added to food run into thousands. Most of the foods we buy contain one or more additives.

Mankind is always searching for a better life. One way of improving it is to plan work so that it corresponds to the capacities and needs of the worker. Ergonomics is concerned with fitting work to man. It doesn't limit its goal to the elimination of physical hazards to health, but aims at making the work more satisfying to the worker.
PARAPHRASING: Work can be organised to suit the capabilities of humans.

It is not necessary to emphasize the enormous restrictions that blindness imposes upon the ordinary procedures of earning a living: we're only too well aware that we're in general more dependent on sight than on smell, touch or hearing. But it's worth pointing out that sight affects the knowledge of the world we receive through our other senses.
