OSCAR TORRES

The news paper was interested in giving a scholarship to a student who has all the characteristics they ask for example a majoring in journalism, good grades, someone who do activities outside the school and someone who gives his time to services to the community.
In the listening part it was said that there are two finalists. The first was Becky Stevens and the second was Ralph. The first finalist studies journalism and she has decent grades, but she also does a lot of activities at school, for example: she plays soccer, takes classes of violin and she belongs to the photography club. After school she goes to the hospital to do service to the community.
Moreover, the second finalist, Ralph, he has excellent grades, and he is also studying journalism because someday he wants to do scientific journalism. But he stays at lab almost all the time and attends local events.
According to the reading part the newspaper is looking for a student who besides having good grades also care about the community and I think the best candidate is the first finalist, Beck because apart from the activities at school she gives extra time to do service to community and i believe she deserves the scholarship because she wants to help more people than the second finalist.
