The story could be based in a real story or fantasy, that's why there are different kinds of movies like: fiction, romantic, comedy, etc. And they are classified in different ways, it meas they can be familiar movies, for kids, teenagers or older.
The success of a movie I think depends of so many aspects like, I said before, the story or the actors but, there are other things people consider to decide if that movie is really good, for example, the music, the special effects or the place where were made it.
Anyway, like people say, every mind is a world so, at the end, everyone has his own point of view and, everyone can criticize the movies like they want. There are cases where someone says that one movie is awesome and, in the other hand, another one can say that movie is really bad or something like that.
In my personal opinion, an excellent movie is where you cannot figure out the end or the whole story, where you finish surprised for the end or where you are in focus all the time. And I think it is a little bit difficult to be like I said but, it is not i mpossible I am sure... "Avatar" is one of them...

Well written, the topic is well developed, I'm just going to write some tips to improve, "relates" is not the best verb there, because it means to put something together, in that case, should be "tells", also, where were made it, I don't understand the phrase, because you're talking about the movie and then you use plural verbs, you have to say "where it was made", and please, don't try to translate phrases from Spanish, because they don't fit in English, to say the same thing you can use idioms in English, like: "different folks, different strokes" or "one man's meat is another man's poison"
